The Shape of Resilience Fundraising Event

On Thursday Oct. 9, 2025, our studio put on this special fundraiser to both mark our transformation into a nonprofit organization and to celebrate the resilient spirit that carried us through a year of rebuilding since the flood devastated us on Sept. 27, 2024.

The following was a reflection of the event that we posted to our social media accounts along with the photos above:

We needed a few days to rest and gather our thoughts of gratitude after the resounding success of our Shape of Resilience fundraising event last week. We were overwhelmed by the outpouring of support that came from the over 250 people who showed up to celebrate with us on Thursday.

We are ecstatic to report that our fundraiser raised over $90k! Because of the volunteer effort by our core team, we were able to keep our costs under $10k. Thanks to your charitable contributions at our fundraiser, we’re now only about $60k away from reaching our goal. But what a fantastic starting point for our newly established non-profit, The Village Potters Foundation!

We want to extend a humongous thank you to our phenomenal event sponsors, the joyful fundraiser attendees, the compassionate patrons who made donations that night in exchange for pots, and all of the generous potters who donated their art for our fundraiser. We simply can’t thank each and every one of you enough for your steady love, encouragement, and support.

We feel rejuvenated after being surrounded by so many friends and supporters who whole-heartedly believe in us, our recovery, and our expanded mission. We are even more determined to get up and running again. Hopefully, we’ll announce a new reopening date soon.
